SADTU Curtis Nkondo Professional Development Institute

In 2006, the SADTU National Congress resolved to establish the SADTU Curtis Nkondo Professional Development Institute (SCNPDI) to serve as a vehicle through which SADTU meaningfully will contribute to the professional development (PD) of teachers.

The primary aim of the Institute is to “use the facilitation and education skills to provide professional development training to SADTU members and other teachers”. The establishment of the Institute aligns itself to two of the five key pillars of SADTU’s 2030 vision, which is to create a learning nation; and to promote a development oriented nation state.
